Meet the Founder

Estate & Grain was never intended to be just another cabinetry company.

It was built from a conviction that craftsmanship should never be compromised.

For more than sixteen years, I’ve had the privilege of working inside some of the finest homes throughout the Southeast, specializing in custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, and finish carpentry. During that time, I learned that beautiful homes deserve far more than quality materials or impressive designs—they deserve people who genuinely care about the outcome.

As the years passed, I began to notice a pattern. The construction industry often rewarded speed over precision, volume over relationships, and convenience over craftsmanship. Projects became increasingly transactional, communication became an afterthought, and homeowners were too often expected to accept compromises simply because “that’s the way the industry works.”

I never believed that had to be true.

Estate & Grain was born from the belief that there is a better way.

Not by trying to become everything ourselves, but by intentionally surrounding ourselves with exceptional people who share the same commitment to excellence. That philosophy ultimately led to our partnership with Coppes Napanee, America’s oldest family, owned cabinetmaker. Their history, values, and dedication to craftsmanship perfectly complement the standard we strive to uphold every day.

Cabinetry, however, is only part of the story.

What truly matters is the experience, your experience

From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, every decision we make is guided by a simple question:

“If this were my home, how would I want it to be done?”

That question influences everything we do. It shapes the projects we accept, the partners we choose, the products we recommend, the way we communicate, and the care we take throughout every installation. It also explains why Estate & Grain intentionally only accepts
a limited number of projects each quarter. Our goal has never been to complete the greatest number of projects. Our goal has always been to give every client the time, attention, and craftsmanship their home deserves.

I’ve never been interested in building the biggest company.

I’ve always been interested in building one that people trust.

To me, trust isn’t earned the day the project is completed. It’s earned from the very first conversation through honesty, preparation, communication, and the discipline to do exactly what was promised, even when no one is watching.

I also believe the skilled trades deserve to be viewed differently than they often are today. Craftsmanship is not simply the ability to build something beautiful. It is the discipline to pursue excellence in every detail, the humility to continue learning, and the integrity to stand behind your work long after the last tool has been packed away.

Those beliefs became the foundation upon which Estate & Grain was built.

Every partnership we establish, every process we develop, every client we serve, and every project we complete exists to protect those principles. We don’t simply install cabinetry and millwork. We steward our work in the homes people intend to leave behind.

At the end of the day, I don’t want Estate & Grain to be remembered simply for beautiful cabinetry.

I want to be remembered for the way you were treated, should we be a good fit for each other.

For the trust that was earned.

For promises that were kept.

For craftsmanship that honored the homes entrusted to us.

Because while cabinetry may be what we build…
